Today, we are going to talk about music. We think that the most music that we listen in Spain is American. We love american music!!!! For exemple, we listen Red Hot Chili Peppers, One Republic, Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan. Because, in Spain they are very famous.

¡Hola! Me llamo Tiffany y hablaré en español por un poco. Me aficiona el flamenco chill, especialmente el grupo Chambao. Su música me relaja mucho y disfruta todas sus canciones. Támbien me gusta Ojos de Brujo porque creo que su estilo es muy único y mezcla una variedad de géneros como hip-hop, rumba, y reggaeton. Cuando yo tomé español en la escuela secundaria, mi profesora siempre ponía el grupo Maná y La Oreja de Van Gogh.

I am a very big fan of John Mayer and Coldplay.

I would suggest Jason Mraz. His music is a lot of fun and easy to listen to! I also suggest Paolo Nutini and Regina Spektor.

I am into pop/rock music. I like the popular music scene, but I consider myself to be pretty eclectic.

I like the singer Missy Higgins. I am a sucker for girls singing and playing guitar!

To be honest, I am not sure. My friends and I have been listening to many different artists.
Can you recommend us American music that we can understand easily?
Yes! I would say anything slow. Have you heard Frank Sinatra? He is an old artist, but his music is timeless. Missy Higgins is also good! (I can give you some of them if you want!) Coldplay is popular now, and they have some great music. Goo Goo Dolls, Kelly Clarkson, etc.
Hola! Me gusta mucho the Red Hot Chili Peppers; son mi grupo favorito y he ido a dos de sus conciertos. No conozco bien la música de España, pero me encanta mucho el estilo de guitarra que he oído del país. Si Uds. pueden recomendarme algunas artistas de España, les agradecería!
My favorite types of music are rock and alternative. I also like what we call classic rock, which is rock from the 1960s-1980s. My favorite American group is Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I also like a lot of British groups like Radiohead and Oasis.
I don’t really know what is most popular right now because I haven’t been listening to the radio (I mostly just listen to music on my IPOD or my computer), but I imagine it is mostly pop or hip-hop.
From reading the bands that you guys like, I would suggest you listen to the Foo Fighters. R.E.M. is also a very good band - their songs are catchy and their lyrics are usually easy to understand (except for the famous song "It's the End of the World as we Know it", which is so fast I don't think anyone can understand it!)

A mi también me encantan esos artistas. Otros grupos que me gustan mucho son Weezer, Keane, Coldplay, y Jack Johnson. No se los nombres de los grupos España que he oído. Pero me gusta el flamenco y he ido a conciertos de flamenco en MIT. A mi me gusta el rock. Mí grupo favorito tendría que ser Jack Johnson. Una canción popular es “Handlebars” escrita por los Flobots. Una canción que les gustaría es el “Scientist” escrita por Coldplay.
